Winter service change begins December 8

A Kitsap Transit bus crosses the Manette Bridge at sunset on Nov. 6, 2024.

Kitsap Transit’s winter service change goes into effect on Sunday, Dec. 8. We’re making changes to Routes 9, 212, 217, 223, 229, 265, 333, 344, 390 and Purdy Ride. Changes include adjustments to timepoints on some routes to improve timing, bus stop changes and route pattern changes. We’re also adding a new service in North Kitsap, Route 391–Kingston/Bainbridge, that connects the ferry terminals in Kingston and Bainbridge.

  • The route pattern for Route 9 will change.

Buses will no longer travel Plisko Lane to Mitchell Avenue near the Town Square shopping center. Instead, buses will cross under the Mitchell Avenue overpass and use the roundabout to turn around before entering the shopping center.

Buses will exit the shopping center and take a left onto Mitchell Avenue and then continue their regular route.

The bus stop on Mitchell Avenue across the street from the Town Square shopping center exit will be moved farther south to accommodate the new route pattern.
