Fast ferry summer schedules start May 3

M/V Reliance prepares to dock in Bremerton.

It’s that time of year again – Kitsap Transit’s summer schedules return on Saturday, May 3!

Summer sailing schedules include all-day Saturday service from Bremerton, Kingston and Southworth to Seattle (plus connecting bus service), and late-night local ferry service between Bremerton and Port Orchard. Summer schedules will run through September 27, 2025.

Route 86–Southworth, Route 307–Kingston/North Viking Fast Ferry and Kingston Ride will operate Saturday service during the summer to connect with the Southworth and Kingston fast ferry routes.

The Port Orchard-Bremerton local ferry will operate later into the evening to accommodate passengers traveling to and from Seattle on the Bremerton Fast Ferry. You can view the Port Orchard-Bremerton ferry schedule here.

Summer schedules

Saturday schedules vary by route:

  • The Bremerton route operates 10 round-trip sailings per day, starting with the 9:20 AM sailing from Bremerton and ending with the 11:30 PM sailing from Seattle.

Note: Since December 2022, Kitsap Transit has operated a limited Saturday sailing schedule on the Bremerton-Seattle route as part of an agreement with the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) to cover gaps in Washington State Ferries’ schedule.

This temporary Saturday schedule (seven round trips per day to Seattle) will be replaced with our regular summer Saturday schedule (10 round trips per day) from May 3 through Sept. 27.

After Sept. 27, Kitsap Transit will continue to operate the temporary Bremerton Fast Ferry Saturday schedule (seven round trips per day) for as long as it remains funded by WSDOT.

  • The Kingston route operates eight round-trip sailings per day, starting with the 9:20 AM from Kingston and ending with the 11:10 PM sailing from Seattle.

Click here for the Kingston Fast Ferry summer schedule.

  • The Southworth route operates 11 round-trip sailings per day, starting with the 9:45 AM sailing from Southworth and ending with the 11:15 PM sailing from Seattle.

Note: Kitsap Transit shares the Southworth Ferry Dock with Washington State Ferries (WSF). WSF operates both a 2-boat and a 3-boat schedule depending on vessel availability.

In the event that WSF switches its schedule, Kitsap Transit will also change the schedule for the Southworth Fast Ferry. This means that the Southworth Fast Ferry may depart five to 10 minutes later than the time indicated on the schedule.

Fares

Kitsap Transit Fast Ferry fares are $2 traveling from Kitsap County to Seattle and $12 from Seattle to Kitsap County. You can pay with cash or an ORCA card. For information on reduced-fare options and the Free Youth Transit Pass, visit our fares page.

Ferry tracking

Kitsap Transit rolled out a new bus tracking tool earlier this month that lets riders see where their bus is in real time. Eventually, riders will be able to track their ferry using this same tool, but that functionality isn’t quite ready. Sign up for rider alerts to be notified when ferry tracking goes live.

Ferry alerts

We’ve also upgraded our fast ferry alerts! Sign up to receive text and email alerts when your ferry is late or canceled at kitsaptransit.com/alerts. When selecting your route, make sure you select both eastbound and westbound directions. If you wanted to sign up for Southworth fast ferry alerts, you would select both “Seattle-Southworth” and “Southworth-Seattle.”
